Comings and Goings!

It has been such a long while since I last posted anything and here is the explanation...my children and I have found ourselves addicted to the computer and it had to come to an end. My boys were constantly fighting over time on the computer and when my three year old's very first conversation with me in the morning started like this: Ayden: Is it Church Day? Me: No. Ayden: Can I play the computer? I knew something had to change! My family and I are going to try a tv and internet free summer and see what fun and exciting adventures we can discover together. Don't get me wrong there will most likely be a little tv here and there and of course movies at home and in the theatre but my goal is to fire the tv and video games. They really were great babysitters but in a couple weeks I won't have my niece to babysit anymore, the weather will be warmer, and Bentley is old enough to get out and about! So, we are getting out! Since it has been awhile I will catch you up a little on our lives. Jarron has gotten a manager position at a new bank and he is very excited. He may also be getting one of his long-time-in-coming-development plans going. Yippee! Cayton had his last day of pre-school and got a little diploma. Way cute and I cried. Not surprising, I cried when it started, I cried when it ended, and I cried when I counted only 15 more years until he goes on a mission. Can't time just slow down?! Ayden is doing great he is really excited for September because he knows that he gets to go to school with Cayton and that is about all he talks about. Both boys are excited for warmer weather because they love to spend the whole summer at parks and in the pool. Bentley is almost 6 months. WOW! A little cool fact is that on 06.07.08 she will be 6 months. Extra special cupcakes will be made for that! As for me I'm keeping busy with kids and really busy with church. Life has been a little bit of a trial this last little while but nothing we can't endure:0) As for our goings we are headed to Austin, Texas in less than 2 weeks for Jarron's 10 year high school reunion and to see his friends. We are all very excited to go to Texas but we are taking a tape recorder on the plane and plan to win $10,000 on America's Funniest Videos when we return. I can't believe that I'm going to attempt 3 children on a plane. I can barely handle them on the ground let alone airborne:0) We are also going to Kolob, UT for a Langston family reunion the end of July. I will try to post bits and pieces here and there. Four months already!?

With Cayton I started a tradtion of making cupcakes every month to celebrate his month anniversary. I have to pat myself on the back (just a little) because I have still kept up the tradition, even with my third baby! I personally have a lot of fun with it even if the kids could care less:) So, just yesterday April 7th I made cupcakes for Bentley's 4 month Anniversary. I can't believe that she is already 4 months but she is just as sweet as ever. We aslo went to the doctor and she is 13 pounds 14 ounces and 24.5 inches long. She is in the fiftieth percentile all around. She is growing very well and smiling all the time! Here is just a random picture that we took of her a couple weeks ago. On the way to soccer we pass the street sign Bentley and it was pretty warm the other day so we decided to take a picture:)

I have noticed that Bentley looks a lot like Cayton when she was tiny but is starting to look more and more like Ayden.

Our Best Easter Yet!

Jarron and I have said that holidays have new meaning when you have kids and Easter was no exception! We had an Easter filled week with dying eggs, egg hunts (plural), the Easter Bunny and of course the true meaning of Easter! Our hearts are filled with gratitude this Easter season. We have been given so much and we have a deep love for our Savior Jesus Christ. I tried my very best to teach the boys the true meaning of Easter but all Ayden got out of it was that, "Mommy said we get our bodies back" and he cracks up laughing. You have to start somewhere...right? The innocence of a child!

Oh Gee! Ayden's Three!

Ayden's Birthday fell on Easter this year so we celebrated it on Friday. He had a party at Pump It Up! which has many inflatable slides and bouncing areas. For our gift Jarron and I took him to Build-A-Bear and the candy store.

This was his favorite gift. A gumball machine AND gumballs. He loves gum and his insides are probably all stuck together with as much gum as he has swallowed.

And it was all over! Poor guy.

Home Sweet Home

For those near and far that have requested pictures of our home...here you go. Jarron built our home fall of 2006 and we moved in January 2007. We have loved it so much and it is definitely well lived in. It was really a blast to build ourselves and have it just the way that we wanted. Good thing my husband was the builder because I was very picky throughout the whole process and came out everyday to see that everything was perfect. I picked everything out from top to bottom and decorated it myself. I hope that you enjoy the tour!

A Mommy's gotta do...

What a Mommy's gotta do. Our poor little Bentley was very unfortunate to be born with this really silly looking cowlick right on her front hair line. It has caused me a little grief because it is very hard to manage and I just got to the point where it was just driving me crazy. So, I decided to do something about it. I read up a little on cowlicks and found that sometimes if you shave them off the hair will grow back in a different direction.

All I can say is "Hair grows back...right??" Daddy started off by shaving the hair with a beard trimmer. We then lathered her up and the bic razor did the rest. Nice shine baby! Contrary to Daddy's belief..she really doesn't care and if this works she will be thanking Mommy when she gets older. You can't even really tell that she has a big bald spot because her hair is long enough to sport a very cute combover! We will let you know in the upcoming weeks if it works. Until then does anyone have any other ideas if it doesn't?
