The last two months...

It seems I have been MIA from the blog the last two months. We have been just as busy as ever but enjoying every second.
We took a trip to Utah to see Jarron's brother home from his Mission in California and also his brother and his family from Florida. We all had a blast. Most of the time was spent on the trampoline.
We took a trip to the zoo and saw the new baby elephant.
and the giraffes.
Ayden got eaten by an alligator
and Cayton took shelter as a turtle.
All of us at the park about to say good-bye.
October came and we started our Halloween festivities off with Apple Witch carvings. We bobbed for apples.
and ate donuts from a string.
Deacon turned 5 months and it was the month of the zebra.
We visited the pumpkin patch
where everyone picked out their own pumpkin
and had fun...
except for Bentley. She must have been scared of the Great Pumpkin.
We had a bonfire at Grandma and Grandpa's and roasted cat-tails (hot dogs) and had yummy smores!
We carved pumpkins. Then, finally came Halloween and it was a family affair this year. Cayton picked out our costumes. Cayton was Batman, Ayden was Robin, Bentley was Cat Woman, Deacon was the Joker, Jarron was the Riddler and I was Poison Ivy. Jarron and I also had an adult Halloween party earlier in the month and took FIRST PRIZE on costumes! Deacon got his first haircut...Before
and after.
Cayton had his 6th birthday. Bakugan style!
Bentley is wearing big girl princess underwear and is in the process of potty training
Deacon has been introduced to the world of solid food. Well, almost...just oatmeal
and is now 6 months with the month of the Lion. Weighing in at 17.14 lbs. and 26.75 in. long in the 60% percentile.
And as for me I have gotten all my Christmas shopping done and am just tired but Thanksgiving, Bentley's birthday, Christmas and New Year's here we come!!
(Oh, and I had a birthday but it was seriously the worst ever and I demand a re-do. Don't believe me the highlight of the day was me ripping the bumper off my car backing out of the garage when we are supposed to be headed North for a trip to Grandma's in the mountains. Jarron zip-tied the bumper and we still left on the trip and still came home with the bumper fully intact. Good job honey!)

And So Our School Years Begin

Cayton headed off for his first day of kindergarten... I've been dreading this day for a long long time and it's finally come and gone. I was so nervous for myself because I didn't want him to see me cry because he was SO excited and felt so big going to Kindergarten. He came home in one piece and loved every minute of it. I can't believe that I have joined the ranks of public schools already. They grow up too fast!Be big! Have fun! Doesn't matter what you are to anyone else remember you're EVERYTHING to me!! His mommy quote of the day:)
His teacher: Mrs. Witgenstein
Ayden had his first day of preschool today and boy was it a tough week while Cayton got to go to school and Ayden didn't. He couldn't wait to start preschool is a definite understatement. He was off and away and it wasn't soon enough for him. Good Luck this year you two!!

A Synopsis

July started out on the toilet but only got better from there:)
I never thought that I would have a picture of the family on a toilet!
Deacon's first time at the Twilight Critirium, boy was it HOT!! We made a tent in the front room that lasted a couple weeks...
And pretended we were Nephites
The boys took swimming lessons...Cayton improved his back float...
and Ayden enjoyed the diving board.
Deacon's 3 months came and went.
He is such a happy boy. He is always smiling and has the growing thing down pat.
My alligator...not my favorite but it had to do.
Cayton got glasses. j/k but sure does look good in grandma's :)
Jarron and I also took a 4 day trip to Seattle...without kids...to celebrate his 30th birthday that is rapidly approaching. The bummer thing is that I totally spaced the camera and so sorry no pics. You wouldn't want to see my red eyes anyway (I cried a lot about leaving the kids). They had a blast however with Grandma and Grandpa Langston and Katherine. Nothing can beat the hugs and kisses upon arriving home!!!

2 months and a fishing trip

This past weekend we went to Grandma's in the mountains and had a fabulous time!
We got to celebrate Deacon's 2 month birthday with none other than cupcakes! His stats: Height- 23.25 in. Weight- 12.9 lbs. Both in the 75% The new cupcake of the month: Elephant. Personally I thought he turned out pretty cute:)
All the kids and cousin Kaid with Great Grandma and Grandpa Wallace
Bentley fishing off the dock with Daddy
Deacon and Mommy fishing in the boat. (Not really, just a pose)
Cayton wasn't really sure about the boat to start off with but really enjoyed it in the end.
This was only about 20 minutes out on the boat. Perhaps fishing doesn't quite excite him.
Making smores Boy were they good!
We really enjoyed a relaxing get-away and loved seeing Great GG Wallace, Vicki, Lee and Tyke!

Our little firecrackers!

Our family's 4th of July was a fun filled day! We started off with breakfast with the ward and really enjoyed all the yummy food! We then went to the driving range and hit a couple buckets of balls. We then headed to Charlie and Chris' for lunch where the kids played in a little pool. After that we headed to Ryan and Terri's for dinner then to their community pool. We then headed up the hill to watch some city fireworks and then headed to mom and dad's to light our own. We started at 9am and ended at midnight and we all made it without any horrific meltdowns!
Deacon: Am I really ready for today? I know my hair is! The boys with their first bucket of balls
Cayton: Not sure I like the golfing thing but I got the look!
Ayden: Getting lessons from Uncle Ryan. Loves the golfing thing
Bentley: What do you do with this thing? Enjoyed the throwing the balls but not the club
I even got in on the swinging for the first time ever. Pretty fun but I was really bad
The pool was VERY cold and Bentley would scream and then laugh. Silly girl!
Cayton: The community pool was a lot warmer
Ayden: Working on the back float
Deacon: Please not the water!
Everyone watching the city fireworks
Bentley with her extra-long sparkler...everyone watch out!
Ayden with his bucket of fireworks that he hasn't put down for 4 days
This was the first year Cayton watched the fireworks outside with the rest of us and not hiding in the house. DeeDee was still his protector and he really enjoyed it this year.
It was so fun to be with extended family all day and just play...We love you all!
