Our Best Easter Yet!

Jarron and I have said that holidays have new meaning when you have kids and Easter was no exception! We had an Easter filled week with dying eggs, egg hunts (plural), the Easter Bunny and of course the true meaning of Easter! Our hearts are filled with gratitude this Easter season. We have been given so much and we have a deep love for our Savior Jesus Christ. I tried my very best to teach the boys the true meaning of Easter but all Ayden got out of it was that, "Mommy said we get our bodies back" and he cracks up laughing. You have to start somewhere...right? The innocence of a child!
We dyed A LOT of eggs at Grandma Jones' Bentley even colored her own egg. It was purple! The good looking gang Easter morning
Our little PINK bunny
Bentley with her very first Easter basket
and Bentley in her very first Easter dress! What a cutie!!

Oh Gee! Ayden's Three!

Ayden's Birthday fell on Easter this year so we celebrated it on Friday. He had a party at Pump It Up! which has many inflatable slides and bouncing areas. For our gift Jarron and I took him to Build-A-Bear and the candy store.
Ayden's Cake
Ayden with his turtle that he made at Build-A-Bear
A VERY HAPPY kid in a candy store
A born boxer (Ayden)
Mister Rule Breaker....supposed to go feet first (Cayton)
Bentley's first experience with a slide
Ayden on his thrown
This was his favorite gift. A gumball machine AND gumballs. He loves gum and his insides are probably all stuck together with as much gum as he has swallowed.
And it was all over! Poor guy.

Home Sweet Home

For those near and far that have requested pictures of our home...here you go. Jarron built our home fall of 2006 and we moved in January 2007. We have loved it so much and it is definitely well lived in. It was really a blast to build ourselves and have it just the way that we wanted. Good thing my husband was the builder because I was very picky throughout the whole process and came out everyday to see that everything was perfect. I picked everything out from top to bottom and decorated it myself. I hope that you enjoy the tour!

A Mommy's gotta do...

What a Mommy's gotta do. Our poor little Bentley was very unfortunate to be born with this really silly looking cowlick right on her front hair line. It has caused me a little grief because it is very hard to manage and I just got to the point where it was just driving me crazy. So, I decided to do something about it. I read up a little on cowlicks and found that sometimes if you shave them off the hair will grow back in a different direction.
All I can say is "Hair grows back...right??" Daddy started off by shaving the hair with a beard trimmer. We then lathered her up and the bic razor did the rest. Nice shine baby! Contrary to Daddy's belief..she really doesn't care and if this works she will be thanking Mommy when she gets older. You can't even really tell that she has a big bald spot because her hair is long enough to sport a very cute combover! We will let you know in the upcoming weeks if it works. Until then does anyone have any other ideas if it doesn't?

Weekend Getaway

As the boys would say, "We went to Grandma's in the Mountains" this last weekend and had a ton of fun sledding and snowmobiling! We went to Craigmont, Idaho where they had lots and lots of feet of snow!Watch out Cayton, you're about to get clobbered by your brother! Poor Ayden...had it coming to him I guess This is what it looks like when the snowmobile isn't there to
haul you back up to the top of the hill. This is what it looks like when it is! It wouldn't have been a real sledding trip without a few bumps and spills.

Jarron and I had our fun too! Just how many people can that snowmobile hold and pull? It can be done folks! Ayden proved that you can indeed fall asleep while riding a snowmobile! Great Grandma and Grandpa with all their great grandchildren Well, Ayden said it the best for everyone, "I don't want to go home."
It was a great weekend, too bad it had to end.

I've been tagged!

Thanks to Tiffany here is a little about Jarron and I: How long did you date? 8 months and were engaged for 4 1/2 months How old is he? 28 (August 26th) How old are you? 26 (November 4th) Who eats more sweets? Definitely me. That is why I spend way more time at the gym:) Who said I love you first? He did, about 2 months before I confessed Who is taller? He is by 8 inches Who can sing better? Hands down him, but I can sing louder:) Who is smarter? I would have to say him because he picked me for his wife! (Really it's me though) Who does the laundry? Me, except for when I'm pregnant Who does the dishes? Me, except for when I'm pregnant Guilty pleasures? Don't think so Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? He does Who mows the lawn? Usually Jarron except for this summer. He spent the summer in Illinois and so I mowed it. It was quite the site when I was 6 months pregnant! Good thing our lawn is small! Who cooks dinner? Does cooking mean microwaving? Jarron cooks, I microwave. Someday I hope to take lessons:) Who is more stubborn? Oh, that would be ME! Who kissed who first? He kissed me unexpectedly on our second date Who asked who out first? He asked me out first Who proposed? He did with the famous glass slipper. What a romantic! Who has more siblings? He does with 5, I have 2 Who wears the pants? I would like to say we both do but I think it's really me What is your favorite thing about him? If I only can pick one it would be that he is a dreamer and a go-getter! He dreams it, he works hard for it and he gets it.(That is how he got me. Believe me...I wasn't an easy catch) Thank goodness for dreams...I wouldn't have the wonderful family I have now if it wasn't for his dreams and determination!
