A little rain never hurt anybody

Saturday was the St. Luke's Women's fitness celebration and I have to say that we have been a pretty faithful group for the last few years but the rain and lightning was a little much this year. We signed up in the stroller division because we had three strollers to push this year but as you can see not one stroller made it. In fact we took this picture moments before we turned around called the husbands back to rescue us out of the rain and we headed for breakfast. The good intentions were there but the rain was a little much especially for me who wore my flip flops down:o)

Jessica, Shawna, me, Mitzi and Tori Charlie, Shawna, me, Mitzi and Tori Here we are at IHOP! What a wonderful dry breakfast it was!

Wrong??

This year for Christmas Jarron and I have adopted the phrase "It's always better HOMEMADE!" So, the other day we lost the keys to my car and yes we only have one set, so I was stuck home. I decided to start early on some gifts and this is one that I made, however, I like it so much I really don't want to give it away? So my question is...is that wrong?
On a random note:
I watch my niece Avery again and the other day lunch got out of hand and this is where they ended up...can you believe that Bentley is nine days younger?

Gunfighter Skies 2008

This last weekend we headed 40 miles east to Mountain Home. We told the boys that we were going to see fast jets and big airplanes. They were so excited to see them and couldn't wait to get there so they could see them up close...until we actually got there. Jarron was working a little bit at his bank's booth and it was set up in a giant hanger. Also, in the hanger were three inflatables and that is where they lost interest in the whole point of the trip. All they wanted to do was play on the inflatables...talk about discouraging!
Ayden having the time of his life!
Cayton's favorite was the giant slide!
Here is Ayden angry at me for taking him away from the inflatables:o(
After Jarron was done working Cayton actually enjoyed looking at the jets but he first had to get over the fear that they really weren't TRANSFORMERS and they weren't going to transform into large metal robots. Silly boy! Watch out Cayton!

9 wonderful months

Cupcake day just came and went yet again...I can't believe it. It is so exciting to watch Bentley grow and learn but it seems like I no longer have a little baby. In fact Bentley isn't little at all. At nine months she is wearing 18 month clothes. In the matter of 2 weeks she is working on pushing her 3rd tooth through and is saying da da and knows exactly who it relates to. All I can say is "not fair" I wanted ma ma to be first but oh well. She scoots around on her bum and has refused to crawl. Like I said before she got her ears pierced and she is laughing a lot more.
Pay no attention to the misspelling of her name. What a cutie! I can't believe that I only have 3 cupcake days left!

50th Wedding Anniversary

This past weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa's in the mountains (Craigmont, ID). We went to celebrate my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. We all enjoyed it and had a blast!
All of us with Grandma & Grandpa. This was the best we could get Ayden to pose. What a silly! We tried to take a family picture at the party but Kaid needed to eat so Charlie and her family are missing and Cayton was happy and Ayden was sleeping. We tried the next morning before we left and ended up with a really nice picture!
A random picture of Bentley and me at the party. Cayton and Ayden playing with their second cousins. They built a fire and a coyote trap. It was pretty funny. They put watermelon, pineapple and dinner mints in the trap. Needless to say they never caught their coyote. A random picture of Bentley and Daddy. This is a group picture of ALL of grandma & Grandpa's family. Everyone was their except Nick, Aila and Mike. We missed them! And this is us playing just about the only game we play up there...pinochle.

The first shall be last and the last shall be first

As fast as August flew by it was filled with many lasts and firsts for our family. This month I have indeed been blessed with many wonderful memories which I will forever cherish. I have only my Heavenly Father to thank for getting me through the sometimes incredibly tough first and lasts but I am so grateful for every second that I do have with my family. Thinking about each one of them and how they have impacted my life brings tears to my eyes. They are each so precious and absolutely the best things to happen to me! Life is filled with never ending firsts and lasts and here are some of ours.
This was Cayton's LAST day at gymnastics for the summer. He had the option of moving to the big gym where you get to go when you turn 5 but he wants to wait until his birthday so he will continue in the small stars gym until November. Way to go Cayton! This was also Ayden's LAST day of gym for the summer also. I started the boys both in gym when they started walking and so Ayden has been going for about 2 years. The one thing that he just couldn't seem to do was a sit-down-stand-up on the trampoline. He tried and tried but just never could stand up. Well, it was perfect timing because on the last day he finally did his FIRST ever sit-down-stand-up. I couldn't even keep my emotions in and had to let out a HUGE YEAH! and the look of accomplishment on his face was priceless and he did 3 more before we left the gym. When Daddy came home that night Cayton told daddy, "Mommy and the teachers all cheered really loud for Ayden. He did amazing!" There is no one better to cheer on then your own kids! Kaid was able to come home Sunday the 24th and is just continuing to get big. He is now 4 lbs. 14oz. (probably more now) and this was the FIRST picture taken with Bentley the day after he came home. Jarron celebrated his LAST 20 something birthday which he was really excited about! (not really) Old or not he still blew out every single candle! Good job Honey! Here is Bentley's FIRST tooth! I just had to throw this in.Whenever I get the camera and try to take a picture of her she pulls this face.
Here is what I was trying to take a picture of. Yep, I went for the FIRST time and pierced her ears. She was so amazing she barely cried and forgot all about it after she got a lolly-pop.

And so for the LAST emotional moment of the month which was actually today but close enough, both of my boys went off together for their FIRST day of pre-school! They were both excited but Ayden was SUPER DUPER excited. He has been waiting since his 3rd birthday for September to come so he could go with Cayton to school.

They couldn't forget to give Bentley a LAST kiss before heading off to school.
